D2F to JST Adapter PCB

This is a PCB that adapts the Omron D2F family of micro switches to a standard JST 2 pin connector, making it easy to integrate mechanical switches into projects such as 3D printers or other electronics.

Bill of materials:

• (1) PCB
• (1) JST XH 2.5mm or JST PH 2.0mm connector
• D2F-L or similar Omron switch with straight PCB Terminals

Assembly instructions:

1. Trim the center pin on the switch as close as possible to the switch body.
2. Solder a JST connector to the PCB pads.
3. Trim the protruding leads of the JST connector as short as possible with flush cutters.
4. Insulate the contacts on the PCB with kapton tape (optional but recommended.)
5. Place PCB over the D2F switch pins and solder D2F switch pins to the PCB.
6. Test with a multimeter for correct function. You should see continuity when the switch is released and a open circuit when the switch is depressed.

• Filament runout switches for filament changers
• Anywhere else where you want to easily disconnect your wire harness from the mounted switch!
