Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Flintt, Inc. for using BoardRepo.
Last updated: July 3, 2026
1. Who we are
BoardRepo is operated by Flintt, Inc., a Delaware corporation with a mailing address at 2261 Market Street STE 13714, San Francisco, CA 94114, United States (“BoardRepo”, “we”, “us”). BoardRepo lets you upload electronics design projects and share them as a link that anyone can open and inspect in the browser. These Terms govern your use of the BoardRepo website and services at boardrepo.com.
2. Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using BoardRepo, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you are using BoardRepo for an organization, you confirm you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf. If you do not agree, do not use BoardRepo.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use BoardRepo, and old enough to form a binding contract in your country. BoardRepo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
4. Your account
You sign in with an email magic link, Google, or GitHub. You are responsible for keeping access to your email and account secure, and for activity that happens under your account. Give accurate account information and keep it current. Tell us at [email protected] if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
5. Your content stays yours
You keep all ownership of the projects, files, comments, and other content you upload or post (“Your Content”). We do not claim ownership of it, we do not sell or relicense it, and we do not grant anyone rights to train models on it beyond whatever the license you attach to your project already allows.
To run the service, you grant BoardRepo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, render, and display Your Content, and to generate derived outputs from it such as previews, board images, BOMs, and fabrication files. This license exists only so we can operate and show BoardRepo to you and to the people you share with. It ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except for backup copies that age out on a normal cycle and content others have already downloaded under your chosen license.
When you make a project public, you make it available to anyone under the license you attach to it, and that license travels with the project. Choose a license you are comfortable with before you publish.
6. You are responsible for what you share
You confirm that you have the rights to upload and share Your Content and that it does not infringe anyone else’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights. Do not upload confidential material you are not allowed to publish, or content that includes personal data of others without a lawful basis.
7. Visibility and sharing
Each project has a visibility you control. Public projects appear in browse and search and can be crawled by search engines and AI tools. Private-link projects are unlisted and carry noindex metadata, and password-link projects add a password gate. Unlisted means not listed, not secret: anyone you give the link to can open the project while the link is valid, so share links carefully. You can change a project’s visibility or delete it at any time, and removal takes it out of browse and search promptly.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use BoardRepo to:
- break the law or infringe someone else’s rights;
- upload malware, or files whose purpose is to harm systems or people who open them;
- probe, overload, or disrupt the service, or get around storage limits, rate limits, or access controls;
- scrape or bulk-download in a way that ignores our robots rules or degrades the service for others;
- post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, or sexual content involving minors;
- misrepresent who you are or impersonate another person or organization.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules, and we may apply reasonable limits on storage, file counts, and request rates to keep the service healthy.
9. Copyright complaints
If you believe content on BoardRepo infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with a description of the work, the link to the material, your contact details, and a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized. We review notices and remove infringing content where appropriate, and we may remove content from accounts that repeatedly infringe.
10. BoardRepo’s own rights
The BoardRepo name, logo, software, and the look and feel of the site belong to Flintt, Inc. and are protected by intellectual property law. These Terms give you no right to use our branding except to link to us. Your rights in Your Content are not affected by this section.
11. Third-party services
BoardRepo relies on third parties to run, such as hosting, storage, email, and analytics providers described in our Privacy Policy. Projects may also link to third-party sites or reference third-party parts and libraries. We are not responsible for third-party content or services.
12. The service is provided as is
BoardRepo is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, that previews, BOMs, or generated fabrication files are accurate or suitable for manufacturing, or that stored files will never be lost. Keep your own copies of anything important. Anything you build, order, or manufacture based on files from BoardRepo is your responsibility.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Flintt, Inc. and its officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of BoardRepo. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to one hundred US dollars (USD 100), since BoardRepo is provided to you free of charge. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
14. Indemnification
You agree to cover reasonable claims, losses, and costs that arise from Your Content or from your breach of these Terms, to the extent the law allows.
15. Suspension and termination
You can stop using BoardRepo at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account by emailing [email protected]. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or create risk for the service or other users. If we close your account for a reason other than a breach, we will make a reasonable effort to let you export your projects first.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as BoardRepo changes. When we make a material change, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, give notice in the product. Continuing to use BoardRepo after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be handled by the state and federal courts located in Delaware, unless mandatory law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
