🔽 Buck Converter PCB Design (KiCad)

This repository contains the complete schematic and PCB design of a DC–DC buck (step-down) converter, created using KiCad.
The project demonstrates practical power electronics design, component selection, and PCB layout techniques.

⚡ Project Overview

A buck converter is a DC–DC switching regulator used to efficiently step down a higher input voltage to a lower output voltage.
This design is suitable for learning, prototyping, and low-to-medium power applications.

🛠️ Tools Used

  • KiCad – Schematic capture & PCB layout
  • KiCanvas – Online viewing of design files

📌 Notes

  • This design is intended for educational and prototyping purposes.
  • Always verify component ratings and PCB clearances before fabrication.
  • Test the circuit with proper protection and current-limited power supply.
