Sludge

Sludge is a hardware platform which is compatible with SlimeVR firmware. Sludge is designed to be as featureless and cost down as reasonable to provide a cheaper and updated alternative to the official SlimeVR hardware.

Features

• ESP32-C3 + Bosch BMI160
• Powered by a swappable AA battery
• Firmware flashing and hardware debugging over USB

Does not feature

• Battery charging
• Expansion modules (e.g. for easier foot rotation tracking)

TODO

• General electrical design
• Clean up silk screen
• Switch to USB-C
• Physical design (straps, casing, etc.)
• Real world testing
