Macro Pad

A 12-key macro pad with a configurable rotary encoder and OLED display, built around the RP2354A microcontroller and custom MicroPython firmware. Fully programmable through a web-based configurator.

How to Use

Plug the Macro Pad into your Windows, Linux, or macOS device using a USB-C data cable, then go to the Installation Website and follow the steps to install (or update) the Macro Pad firmware. This requires a browser that supports Web Serial (Chrome, Edge, Opera, or Firefox), Safari isn't supported.

The OLED display shows the current layer and the function assigned to each key. Press and hold the rotary encoder button to switch layers.

To configure the device (adding, editing, or deleting layers) visit the Macro Pad Programmer.

• A Windows app that will allow you to update and configure settings for the Macro Pad.

Why I Made This

I built this project to create a fully customisable and open-sourced macro pad. It has also served as a way to develop my skills in schematic design, PCB layout, and 3D Modelling.
