Opentags

Opentags is an open-source alternative to Apple's AirTags, providing a customizable and privacy-focused solution for tracking and locating your belongings using Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology.

Note: this is an archived R&D version that does not share the same hardware or software as the opentag one

Getting Started

Prerequisites

  • Opentags hardware
  • USB-C cable for flashing firmware
  • Computer to flash firmware
  • iOS device to use the Opentags app

Contributing

We welcome contributions from the community! If you'd like to contribute to Opentags, please follow these steps:

  1. Fork the repository
  2. Create a new branch for your feature or bug fix
  3. Make your changes and commit them with descriptive messages
  4. Push your changes to your forked repository
  5. Submit a pull request to the main repository
