Boardoza ACS758LCB-050B Current Sensor Breakout Board

The Boardoza ACS758LCB-050B Breakout Board is a high-current Hall-effect current sensing solution based on the Allegro MicroSystems ACS758LCB-050B-PFF-T integrated circuit. It accurately measures bidirectional AC or DC currents up to ±50 A while providing galvanic isolation between the high-current path and the low-voltage measurement circuitry. This enables safe and reliable current monitoring without introducing significant power loss into the system.

Designed for embedded systems, industrial equipment, battery-powered applications, motor control, power supplies, and energy monitoring projects, this breakout board provides a simple analog voltage output that can be directly connected to the ADC input of most microcontrollers. Its fast response time, low conductor resistance, and factory-calibrated performance make it an excellent choice for accurate current measurement in demanding applications.

Key Features

  • Bidirectional Current Measurement: Measures both AC and DC currents across a ±50A sensing range.
  • Galvanically Isolated Sensing: Hall-effect technology electrically isolates the high-current path from the low-voltage signal output.
  • Analog Voltage Output: Provides a ratiometric analog signal that can be measured using a microcontroller ADC input.
  • Fast Current Response: Features a typical 3µs rise time for monitoring rapidly changing loads.
  • Wide Measurement Bandwidth: Supports a typical bandwidth of 120kHz for dynamic current sensing applications.
  • Low Power Loss: The low-resistance primary conductor minimizes voltage drop and heat generation at high currents.
  • Factory-Calibrated Performance: Factory trimming improves output accuracy and measurement consistency.
  • Stable Magnetic Operation: Nearly zero magnetic hysteresis helps maintain reliable readings over repeated current cycles.
