Boardoza BMI088 6-Axis IMU Breakout Board
The Boardoza BMI088 6-Axis IMU Breakout Board is a high-performance motion sensing solution built around the Bosch Sensortec BMI088 inertial measurement unit. It combines a 16-bit three-axis accelerometer, a 16-bit three-axis gyroscope, and an 11-bit internal temperature sensor to provide accurate motion and orientation data even in environments with intense vibration. An onboard 3.3V voltage regulator and bidirectional logic-level shifter enable seamless interfacing with both 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers.
Designed for reliable operation in demanding applications, this breakout board supports both SPI (default) and I²C communication interfaces, making it suitable for drone flight controllers, autonomous robots, camera stabilization systems, industrial automation, motion analysis, and other embedded sensing projects requiring precise inertial measurements.

Board Pinout
( J1 ) Communication Connector
| Pin Number | Pin Name | Description |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | SCK / SCL | SPI Clock / I²C Clock |
| 2 | MOSI / SDA | SPI MOSI / I²C Data |
| 3 | nCS2 | Gyroscope Chip Select (Active Low) |
| 4 | nCS1 | Accelerometer Chip Select (Active Low) |
| 5 | MISO | SPI Data Output |
| 6 | GND | Ground |
( J2 ) Power Connector
| Pin Number | Pin Name | Description |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | VCC | Power Supply Input (3.3V–5.5V) |
| 2 | GND | Ground |
( J3 ) Interrupt Connector
| Pin Number | Pin Name | Description |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | INT1 | Accelerometer Interrupt Output |
